Kristen Browde ran for Town Supervisor in a campaign that launched April 5, 2017 and ended unsuccessfully on November 7, 2017.

Kristen was the first out transgender individual who ran for public office in New York with the endorsement of a major party, appearing on the Democratic Party, Working Families Party and Womens Equality Party lines. Preliminary results showed her with 47% of the vote, while her two term Republican/Independence Party incumbent opponent had 53%.
